$100 Million Sent to Artisans
A dream that began in 1999 to change the world has reached
unimaginable heights because of you. Through your purchases, we
have sent $100 million to artisans worldwide. (We think that deserves a
moment's pause!) It has allowed artisans to feed their families, build
their homes, support their communities, preserve ancient traditions,
and practice the art that inspires us all. Here's what it has meant to
them, in their own words. Let's keep this dream going. Our sights are
set on $200 million...and beyond!
“I've been working with Novica for eight years. I describe my work in hand-tooled leather as a very delicate job as it requires a lot of effort, dedication and -above all- practice.
“Since joining the Novica family, my life has improved and I have overcome many difficulties along the way. Thanks to the sales of my art, I was able to finish building my house and was also able to expand my workshop in another location, which has been very significant for me. Our technique was perfected and I can also help young people with advice and work. Thanks to the sales and advice of Novica, I've been able to improve my quality by far and this is reflected in the comments of customers when they receive my designs.
“I'm very lucky to still be sharing my art.”
“Novica is a company that brings professionalism, ethics and -above all- respect to artists. This partnership based on mutual trust over the years is very gratifying. Having the opportunity to have my work appreciated in an international 'showcase,' with the certainty that it is being presented as having the best quality standards, is indeed a great benefit and source of pride for me. This is because it is information that is fixed throughout time, solidifying my trajectory as an artist. Sales and customer comments reflect the result of our effort. For me, it is a pleasure and privilege to be part of this partnership during these years.”
“Eleven years ago, Novica came to me and pitched their business plan. They were very committed and sincere, and knew what they were doing.
“I knew nothing about Novica or online selling. They calmly explained every detail of how they could help my sales. I put my trust in them and patiently observed Novica's growth. Now eleven years have passed, and Novica and I continue to work together. Novica has grown into a respectable company, whereas my customer base became even larger. I'm very grateful to work with them and I trust them.
“Novica has allowed me to increase my sales. They led me into online selling, which was a new platform for me back then. They brought new customers from different places, thus broadening my customer base. Before Novica, we didn't have much reach or exposure. Our only buyers were the ones who visited my workshop in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
“Novica has always impressed me with how professional they are. The system and working process are very well organized. Their employees are very friendly and easy to work with. They have a deep understanding of the work of each artisan. Because of this, they know how to position our art well in different markets.”

“Novica has given me an opportunity and a larger platform to show my work to the world out there. This has increased my ability to sell my masks and carvings, therefore I've seen a marked increase in profitability. I have also been able to educate my three children through college, and that has been the greatest gain I have had from Novica.”
“Working with Novica has been an amazing experience so far. You have helped my workers get more work to do and earn money to take care of themselves. You also show our work to international markets. The team in Accra has been very supportive. Together with Novica, we are building a successful project and I continue to pray for growth in our business relationships.”
“I've had Novica in my heart for 19 years. My beginnings were very difficult because I come from a humble family of textile artists. Novica has given me so much and they bet on my textile art. With time, I perfected my knitting technique, even training all my team in the workshop.
“I am very grateful and blessed because, thanks to my Novica sales, I've been able to expand the workshop, invest in machinery with new technologies, and perfect my art. Thanks to the quality control advisories, I've adopted measures to improve.
“This art has allowed me to help so many families, not only those who accompany me in the workshop but also in my town.”

“We've been part of Novica for 14 years. As for progress, we've been able to create larger quantities with the same quality, which is reflected in the increase in sales and reception of our Andean art. With the increase in sales through Novica, we managed to open workshops and outsource part of our production work, thus helping to improve the quality of life for mothers and families. The quality level of our designs has been greatly exceeded. The seriousness in our work and our prompt fulfillment of orders have let us be considered in catalogs - not only in Novica but also in local museums such as the Larco Museum, considered one of the most prestigious in the world.”
“With the pandemic, the situation has become much more complicated, because now I depend totally on my work with Novica to be able to continue giving my daughters and wife their daily food. This is why I highly value all the work you do for us, as these sales have an impact, not only financially but also emotionally in my life. I hope to continue working with you for a long time.”
“I've been with Novica for seven years, but I feel it's been many more. I started with handlooms. With time, and effort, I implemented a plan to improve the conditions of my workshop. Novica has allowed us to continue growing, and we've been able to add machinery and improve our processes. We're happy to belong to this family.
“I trust that the pandemic that is going on all over the world will end soon. This break has also made me reconfirm my love for work and the satisfaction of delivering quality apparel.”
Victor Addo Biney|
“Novica has helped me in so many ways. Through your microcredit loans to artisans, you have helped me with the development of my masks on the website. Novica also helps me to sustain my fatherly responsibilities at home. Last but not the least, you have helped me to build a two bedroom self-contained house for myself and my family. We give thanks to all of you as a body.”
“I've been a Novica artisan since 2012. Demand for my leatherwork has helped me focus on presentation and marketing in an online world. As a creative person, I wasn't really aware of the way products are shown to online customers. That help has been invaluable.”
“My art is my passion and it is because of Novica that I am able to see respect for me and my work in the eyes of my children among the rest of the world. My children are proud of me and my craft.
“When I came to Delhi from my hometown in Uttarakhand, I had to struggle to live a stable life. Going from selling on the footpaths to selling on Novica was a journey of struggle.
“I joined Novica 15 years ago and, since then, Novica has supported me immensely, appreciated my work, helped me to gain respect in society and made me financially stable. Now I have a small workshop of my own with 6 to 7 workers assisting me. It is Novica who taught me to create sculptures while maintaining their quality. With the help of Novica shoppers, today I am able to provide education for my three children and live a comfortable life. My eldest daughter is doing interior designing and also assists me in my work. My son also has an utmost interest in my craft and I wish to see him learn it and inherit the art form from me.
“I am indeed very thankful to all of you who appreciate and buy my wood carvings. I wish to keep my art alive with my talent and the support of Novica.”
“First, I would like to say thank you very much. If l hadn't met Novica, I don't know what my life would be like, especially now with the COVID-19 situation.
“Most of my income comes from Novica. It has helped to secure my finances. I was able to pay off my house and could buy a new car to replace the old and small one. And part of that income contributed to my daughter's master's degree education. Thank you for making her dream come true… a thousand and more thanks to Novica.”
“Thanks to Novica, I've been working as an artisan for more than eight years and now have my own workshop for handwoven Zapotec rugs. I never had that before. With Novica, we have grown and our output has increased significantly. This has given us the opportunity to employ more people who are equally passionate about weaving by hand on both the backstrap loom and the handloom.”
“Since I joined Novica, there has been significant progress in my life. I used to live in a rented house and my dream was to build a house my children can one day call their own. Today, I can say that I am the proud owner of my own house, which I owe to Novica. Beyond this, l have been able to educate my nephew and niece through college and am now focusing on educating my children. I believe the best gift I can give them is an education, and being responsible for my children gives me great joy. I love to help people. When I realized I can reach out to needy people in my neighborhood, I picked six young boys who were from very poor homes and apprenticed them and they learned carving from me. Today they are the breadwinners in their homes.”
Rita Addo Zakour|
“I joined Novica in 2009 and my sales have increased every year. You have given me and my support team regular income for our basic needs. You have also helped other artisans that we work with. I am respected in my immediate neighborhood because of my continued crafting and employing some of the neighbors whenever we need an extra hand. I appreciate Novica for advertising me and my art in the world market, and it is more than satisfying when buyers write to express their appreciation of my designs. Novica has made me a better craftswoman because of your strict quality control measures. A very big thank you to Novica and the Ghana team. We pray for a prosperous year ahead.”
“The income from selling with Novica helps make my family life much better. It allows me to pay all my expenses, including my house payment, my car, and tuition for my children. Like other countries, Thailand is also in lockdown. There haven't been any tourists at all, and that interrupts my local sales. But I'm so lucky that I still have income from online sales through Novica, with which I can support my family very well. It's been a long time that I've been working with Novica. Thank you for all your help in making me a successful person in my career today. You let people all over the world know me. I'm happy to make quality jewelry for you, who appreciate my work.”
“I joined Novica five years ago, and my area of specialization is batik. With the money I've received through the sale of my wall hangings, I was able to purchase an industrial sewing machine to sew the wall hangings for myself and for my husband, Edward Adeniran, who also works in batik. I make replenishments from the money I receive from my Novica sales, and also use it to buy materials for my work. I just started sewing various types of bags with West African fabrics, which I intend to introduce to Novica after the global pandemic. Meanwhile, I assist my husband in teaching students who come to learn the art of batik and sewing.”
“Since joining Novica, I've continued to create new designs and, as a result, I'm able to pay for my children's education. Moreover, I could even renovate my house, buy land and a car. And most importantly, I can employ my neighbors more and help their economy improve.
“When COVID-19 became a pandemic, we saw our economy in Bali decline significantly. Many hotel and tourism employees were fired and now stay at home with no income. I hope my Novica sales increase so I can help some of the jobless to work with me and have a better chance to survive during this tough time. Thank you.”
“At the beginning, I didn't think Novica's simple and uncomplicated way of selling would become a source of income to support my family. I sincerely want to thank you. While there are epidemics and other people are lacking income, Novica still helps me to sell my jewelry and lets me receive a continuous income. The most important thing is that you've enabled me to spend on the education of my two children. Thank you, everyone in Novica who helps manage and take good care of my work until it reaches the customer's hands.”
Abdul Salami Amadu|
“I have not regretted joining Novica. The company has helped me a lot and let me know that, yes, I can change my workshop to include many creative forms of art. It is my wish to help some of our community members who are not artisans. It is unfortunate that they don't know they are wasting their time on unnecessary ventures. Most of them are street children who dropped out of school, and I want to introduce them to the wood-carving craft.”
“One of my passions for many years has been creating sculptures in semi-precious stones. When I got to know Novica and saw that my work could be recognized worldwide, I immediately seized the opportunity of this partnership. Together with Novica, I've shared many joys and some sadness too. Most of all, one of the joys I am most proud of is that, thanks to Novica, I managed to improve my residence, giving better living conditions to my wife and my two children. Today, my 13-year-old son is my apprentice in the art of polishing and sculpting, and I teach my 16-year-old daughter how to manage gemstones. She's learning about prices, quality, etc. My only hope is that they continue my work and carry on my love for sculpting gemstones for many, many years.”
“I take this opportunity to thank Novica. Novica has been of good help to me and my family. I am now taking care of the needy children in my area, with the aim of helping them to achieve their goals. I went to Bible school for three years and am now looking forward to putting up a building to expand my workshop through the proceeds I collect through Novica sales. I am very grateful for the day I met you.”
Victor Yao Delanyo|
“I have been a Novica artisan for the past 15 years, and I cannot talk about how I've been able to sustain myself up to now without mentioning Novica.
“For the past six years Novica has been a great support for me, and this is the impact it has had on my life. Through Novica, I have been able to provide education for my two daughters from junior high through senior high school, and they are currently in level 300 in the university. I have been able to acquire a plot of land, which is yet to be developed. Finally, Novica has also brought social interventions into my life by taking care of my family welfare and also assisting one of my workers who now has been trained as a graduate teacher. So I gratefully say, 'Aye koo Novica!' Thank you for a great work done. God bless!”
“I remember when I met Novica. It was 15 years ago and life has never been the same since then. I was a struggling artisan. A soapstone carver. In those days, artisans were never paid a fair amount for our work. The middle man would take most of the profit and we were left with only a small amount to help make ends meet. One day, one of our fellow craftsmen told me about Novica. And since that day, I never turned back.
“Novica has been like a God-sent angel to our family. From struggling to make ends meet to earning respect in the community, I am very proud to say that today, I am in a good and secure position. In India, one of the biggest responsibilities of a father is getting his daughters married and that requires a lot of money. But with good sales from Novica, I was able to fund the marriages of my three daughters respectfully, and for this I will forever remain grateful.
“From showcasing a meager 5 to 6 items to now with more than 100 stone carvings, I have, indeed, come a long way and all thanks to Novica.
“I am 80 years old now and cannot work, but my son has taken over and is working with just as much hard work and dedication. Today, I can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that when I'm gone, my children, grandchildren and coming generations will grow and prosper. And I hope and pray that Novica will always be there for my children and many other true craftspeople like me.”
“I would like to thank Novica for giving me the opportunity to sell on their website. We have had good experiences and received good responses from shoppers. Novica makes us feel stronger in new product design, especially during the COVID-19 period, when I thought the crisis would ruin my sales. But Novica is always finding a way to promote artisans' work and allows an opportunity for me to sell continuously.
“We sincerely thank you and all the staff who care for their artisans and always take good care of us.”
“Working with Novica over the years has helped me to have a three-bedroom house in Accra. Before I joined Novica in 1999, when you first came to Ghana, I was finding life difficult because I retired from the Ghana Arts Council in 1986. But life began to change for the better as soon as Novica started to sell my wood carvings for me.
“Talking about my business, Novica helped me to buy a duplicating machine that has assisted me a great deal with the reproduction of my designs and the sustenance of my workshop. For the best part of the last twenty years, Novica has been my major source of income to take care of a family of six.”
“Novica has benefited me a lot in terms of the microcredit loans with flexible payments. The quality control measures instituted at Novica have greatly improved my art work. Novica has also helped in the expansion of my workshop, which has resulted in my capability of providing my children's educational needs. Thank you for your tremendous support.”
“My experience with Novica has brought me many satisfactions in addition to being valued by the company, since my work has been widely accepted by shoppers. All this has allowed me to grow because, every time I receive my earnings, I have money to invest in new materials as well as equipment and tools - always in improvements of the crafting processes as well as the professional growth itself. Always grateful!”
“I've been part of the Novica family for 17 years. My beginnings were in a small place which I turned into a workshop to craft my musical instruments, following the family tradition from the Sierra of Peru over generations.
“I met Novica through a fair. I felt an immediate connection, and their support has always been constant. Today, thanks to the sales, I was able to invest in improving my workshop. I achieved recognition and was called to fairs and even to the Ministry of Culture, which allows me to expand my market and ensure the maintenance of the family. At the age of 75, I feel that I can still run my workshop with the help of my children, who are involved and support continuing the family traditions.”
“I've been part of the Novica family for 17 years. I'm passionate about my art and I work in stone because of its naturalness and purity of color, and for the beauty that can be seen in each sculpture. I was able to expand my workshop and train more people, give my family a better quality of life and educate my children. I'm very grateful to my Novica clients who love every piece of art that comes into their hands. I strive every day to continue delivering the best.”

“Art and love are the same thing. It is the process of seeing ourselves in things that are not of our thought. Art enables us to find ourselves and know about our real selves. Art washes away the dust of everyday life. Life doesn't imitate art, rather art helps to understand real life. I am proud and happy to be a Novica team member and l believe and know Novica is going to help me to make all my dreams and heart's desires come to pass in my life.”
“I've been with Novica for more than 20 years. There have been moments that marked my life, and Novica was present in one of them - there was a time when I moved away from the textile world, and Novica and its people encouraged me to take it up again. Today I can happily say that I've been able to invest in improvements for my workshop.
“My son, perhaps motivated by my enthusiasm, studied textile engineering at the university. He is now my right-hand man and I feel very proud of him. The demand in today's market is higher than ever, but we will always seek to distinguish ourselves from others.
“Novica has been an open door. It has given us the opportunity to enter with our own name and that fills me with pride.”
“I've been working with Novica for 11 years. Thanks to you, we have been able to improve our house with my family. Now we live in better conditions in a larger and more dignified place. We have worked very hard with responsibility; my wife, my children, and my father have earned it with effort and dedication. Our eternal gratitude to Novica for allowing us to grow and share our art with the world.”
Lopez Garcia Family|
“For me Novica has been a great blessing, a great help. We have managed to do many things that we would never have achieved outside of Novica. We have continuous income, which has helped us pay for my two children's studies, and thus also improve our lifestyle. I want to give my children all they need in the present so that, in the future, they are professionals. I want them to continue with the family workshop, but also have a university career, which gives them more opportunities. My gratitude to Novica is immense, as you've helped me to continue dreaming big.”
“Three decades of batik painting and more than fifteen years of additional international exposure through NOVICA are well-recognized. I appreciate the sincere reviews of patrons of my work. Payments from NOVICA have also played a significant role in the sustainability of my profession.”
Ruben and Gilda Perez|
“Since we joined Novica, our lives have changed significantly. We have achieved a better quality of life, also changing the lives of five more families who work with us. This income helped pay for our children's studies. Something wonderful is that, with the sales, we were able to finish building our house, our home.
“With the pandemic, our lives changed. We thought we'd lose everything, but our angels in Novica brought us hope, giving my family moral and financial support. I have a son in college and I can continue to pay for it. We can also continue to employ our workers.
“That is why we are very grateful to be part of this family, where we have fulfilled many dreams. We hope to continue together for a long time to come.”
“Novica has played a major role in bringing out the artist in me and I have grown with Novica over the years.
“When I joined Novica 14 years ago, I had just started painting as a hobby as I was richly inspired by the Madhubani art which originated in my home state, Bihar. Also during that time, I was expecting my son and I had to leave my teaching job to be with him.
“Initially, I painted to decorate my home and for friends and relatives. Everyone liked my painting and encouraged me to pursue it professionally. I inherited this art form from my tradition and culture and I take great pride in it. In Bihar, this art is a ritual which is done on the walls during every wedding. During my childhood days, I used to fill in colors on the designs. Later on, with self-interest, I learned the art by myself.
“This is when I happened to learn about Novica and the great opportunity it provides for upcoming artists. Novica gave me a platform to exhibit my work to the whole world. It is because of Novica that I took up painting as my profession. Along with Madhubani painting, I learned to execute the beautiful Gond paintings, too.
“It is through Novica that I've achieved fame in life. My painting, 'Tree of Life' was selected by Delhi University for the cover of their book, 'Indian History and Culture.' I have also authored a book titled 'Documentation on Madhubani painting.' This was commissioned by MSME, Hyderabad.
“It's been a wonderful journey for me so far and I am thankful to Novica and all the Novica shoppers for buying my paintings. Novica helped me to grow financially and at the same time helped me to keep our traditional Madhubani art form alive.”
Devendra Kumar Jha and Family|
“Novica has played a vital role in my life. It's been almost 19 years now since I became associated with Novica and, over the years, our bond has grown stronger. Now I have been able to create a name for myself and find respect in society.
“Madhubani painting is in my blood and my mother is my mentor. As I grew up and mastered the art, I decided to move to Delhi from Jitwarpur, Bihar where I come from. After coming to Delhi, initially I faced a lot of challenges. I participated in many local fairs and exhibited my paintings. This is when I came across Novica. Novica gave me a chance to show my talent to the whole world.
“When I joined Novica, I had a lot of liabilities but now I am living a stable and comfortable life. I have five children. It is because of Novica that I earn a monthly fixed income to provide education and a stable life to my family, along with name and fame. My wife, who is a Madhubani artist and my elder daughter, who is very much interested in painting and learned the art from me, both help me in my work. I feel proud that, although I came from a small village, I could establish myself in the world of art. I feel immense pleasure and happiness while executing my paintings. Each one has a different story to tell.
“I am thankful to all of you who appreciate my paintings. I wish to preserve and spread the beauty of traditional Madhubani art to the whole world.”
“Joining Novica was one of my best decisions in life. You've improved our economy and given me a chance that no one else can when times are hard. This income is really helpful for our little family and community. I've been able to pay for my children's education. I could build my workshop and give jobs to mothers in my neighborhood. Your purchases not only help my little family but also many local mothers whose husbands and children are affected by the pandemic and have no other source of income. Thank you. We pray this storm will soon end.”
“I've been in Novica for 15 years, the same as my son's age. Before meeting Novica, I lived making 'applique cards' and selling them locally. Together with other artisans, I attended an important fair in the capital, and it was there that a Novica representative became interested in my work.
“In Novica, they have always been very attentive to me. Thanks to them, I've been able to meet other artisans from my hometown of Ayacucho, and thus be able to help artists who once faced the same difficulties as I did.
“Thanks to Novica, I've been able to buy tools for my workshop. But above all, I have been able to give quality of life to my son, and I am his only support.
“I thank Novica for believing in my art and I also thank you who buy my products with all my heart.”
“Great is how I describe the payments I receive from Novica sales. These sales have enabled me to become confident in myself, because they have made me financially stable. I'm now able to solve at least some family challenges, do an educational upgrade for myself and my two siblings, provide shelter for my family and build a new workshop to continue expressing my thoughts and culture through carving. My family, neighbors and friends respect me for who I am. And I hope to pass on the family carving tradition to my two sons to continue bringing smiles to art lovers.”
“The past 17 years have been wonderful and filled with fun. Novica has meant a great opportunity to continue creating magical and innovative sculptures. The changes have been very positive. We've had to train people who help me and pay them better to meet the challenges that arose along the way. My workshop became a formal and well-organized place to create and improve the quality of our work. At the same time, thanks to our Novica sales, we were able to acquire tools to develop our designs.”
“It's my pleasure to say thank you to Novica. You have been very supportive to me and my family for years now. You have made me what I, Nana Krobea Asante, and my family are today. So we say thank you, Novica”
“I appreciate working with Novica because I have always shared with them the ideal of Fair Trade - for more than 25 years now, starting in Kenya, East Africa! In Thailand, I have continued this sharing with women artisans of the creation of handmade work. Arts and crafts give us pleasure (and sometimes great frustrations!), and also a necessary income to support ourselves as women and/or families. And even more In these hard times of the global COVID 19 pandemic. Novica has become our only surviving income as shops and hotel gift boutiques are closed down because there are no customers. So thank you for being there and staying safe there!”
“NOVICA has a very special place in my life. They've allowed me to give my six children an education and taught me to believe in myself. Today I can pay our rent and even go on vacation. Before that, I was taking in laundry to wash by hand and doing farm work.”
Chief Carver Nana Frimpong|
“At age sixty, one would have thought that I was old and should consider giving up on carving but, surprisingly, that was when I first joined Novica, almost twenty-one years ago. My main goal at that time in my life was first to educate my children to the highest level possible and build a house. My children's education was a priority over the house because I knew, if they have a very good foundation, their lives would be better than mine.”
“What parents would do for their children is what Novica has done for me and my family. I really don't know where to begin. Whatever I say will never be enough in comparison to what Novica has done for me.
“My association with Novica dates back almost 12 years ago. I was designing jewelry for other suppliers and manufacturers and I saw that my designs were very well appreciated, but no one knew who was behind those beautiful designs. I told my husband, 'Why not start a small unit and sell our creations directly to consumers?' But we had no idea where to go.
“Then one day, we chanced upon Novica and this is how our beautiful association began. Novica gave us assurance and motivated us to forge ahead. I clearly remember, we started with 13 pieces of jewelry. The thought of selling my own designs internationally under my own name was such a satisfying experience. It was beyond our imagination. When we got our first cheque, we cried with joy! I'll never forget that moment!
“That motivated us and helped us to move ahead in life. As we started selling more and more, our standard of living also improved, thanks to Novica. In 2012, we were able to buy our first new car! Slowly, we started planning and saving to buy a house and, in 2016, our dreams came true. With savings from Novica sales and a small loan from the bank, we were able to buy our own home. We also extended our workshop to accommodate more helpers.
“Apart from sales, Novica has taught us a lot about quality. Any time an item was rejected, Novica always explained why it was not approved. And we learned from there, from our mistakes. Today we are where we are only because of Novica! Thank you for your help and support.”
“Ever since I joined Novica, I just can't express my joy. There has always been a smile on my face, because I make enough money through Novica sales to support myself and my family. Through Novica, I have been able to buy a plot of land and much more. Thank you for coming into my life.”
“Joining Novica was the best thing that could have happened to me. Whatever fame and respect I have gained today is mostly because of Novica.
“I belong to a family where all family members were involved in carving. In fact, my father, grandfather, and my uncle are all recipients of the National Award for excellence in handcrafted work. This family tradition has been passed on from generation to generation. I learned my craft from my father and forefathers. Everyone used to work at home together. We made all kinds of sculptures, including wooden jewelry.
“Initially, we used to participate in exhibitions and fairs to sell our carvings. It was during such an exhibition that I got an opportunity to associate with Novica. Earlier, we used to take orders from suppliers and exporters. But our name was not known and there was no appreciation for the craftsperson. There was no respect for us. It was after joining Novica that I became known and created a name for myself.
“Because of the trust Novica and its shoppers had in me, I started creating more quality and signature sculptures. I have also become financially stable. Now I have a small workshop of my own where some of my family members, along with other assistants, work together.
“I am very proud to be a member of the Novica Family.”
“Wow! Congratulations for hitting more than $100 million for artisans around the world. A well-done job through years of hard work. A million thanks from my heart.
“Selling with Novica is helping both financially and challenging me to create jewelry, as well as allowing me to stay home looking after my 91-year-old mother. She enjoys assisting me with anything where she could be of any help. This is a wonderful time to share with her.”
“I've been a part of Novica for more than 15 years. I was lucky. One day working in my workshop, they knocked on my door and, since then, we have worked tirelessly. I am very grateful for the trust you have given me and the opportunity to show my art to the world. I always try to give my best, and that is reflected in the materials I choose, as well as all the quality processes I do with my son Ali.
“Novica has always been transparent with us. That gives us a lot of security, and we are optimistic at this time. I will always seek to innovate and create new work. It gives me peace of mind to know that my creations can make people who buy my products happy. With Novica, we have walked together for a long time, and we want to continue doing so.”
“My life with Novica has lasted 20 years. The designs I capture in reverse painted glass are taken from nature and from the scenes of my village. I feel very proud of my craftsmanship and, over time, I have worked to spread it. Novica has been part of my growth process and my life because, thanks to these sales, my personal life changed forever.
“My art has not only been recognized by my loyal customers but, thanks to these orders, I've been able to improve my quality of life, educate my children, and now have a special space and a workshop that I expanded over time, giving access to mothers and young entrepreneurs - not only to learn the painted glass technique but to also help their own families through this work. In this way, we form a beautiful chain of help and work which we love and do with passion.”

“For me and my family, our Novica sales during these years have been of great help. This financial support has let us move forward with our commitments. We've been able to give more work to the people who help us in the workshop where we support women who are heads of their household to paint at home and thus care for their families. Novica has even supported me with an interest-free loan.
“Working with Novica, my life has had a significant change since, thanks to these orders, I've been able to fulfill some personal dreams. We improved the space in our workshop thanks to the income generated by orders and sales with you. We now offer artisan painting classes to tourists who visit our workshop and this, in turn, helps to generate more income and work for my employees. It also promotes our crafts locally and internationally.”
“For me and my family, the work with Novica came as a light at the end of the tunnel. We're living in a very difficult time, when many people do not value the work of the artisans. For us, having our work seen and recognized is gratifying.
“Thanks to Novica, I was able to send my eldest son to take a training and design course in leatherwork and we have had wonderful results, artistically. We are expanding our workshop and inserting new items such as purses and necklaces; we are innovating more and more.
“With the girls from Novica, we learned the importance of a job well done. I consider them all a part of my family.”
“I have been with Novica about 20 years now, and my area of specialization is in paintings and wall hangings. I have gained so much in sales from Novica, and this has been used in payment for my children's school fees. I also bought a house in Accra from the same proceeds. I set up a gallery in my residence at East Legon, called Edrose Art Gallery, which is a subsidiary of the Edrose Foundation. I taught and introduced my daughter Cecilia Adeniran, my wife Oluwayemisi Adeniran and my son Bright Lamptey to Novica, and they have been selling through Novica from time to time. It would also interest you to know that I still have students training at my house in the art of batik making, tie-and-dye, and paintings.”

“I saw a great growth opportunity with Novica from the start. It has given me tremendous satisfaction to share my work and, today, Novica is one of my most important sources of income. Thanks to these sales, today I have several people who work with me and help me to produce more metal sculptures.”
“I've been working with Novica for many years and I'm grateful for the opportunity I have. I remember one day when Diego said 'Novica is not for everyone and not everyone is for Novica.' This encouraged me because being part of Novica means that I have quality, capacity and the qualities of a craftswoman that Novica is seeking.
“During this time, I've been motivated to create new designs because I know that I have a space with Novica and there is also the guarantee that payments are made constantly.
“Especially in this time of COVID when all markets are closed, Novica has made sales and that means a lot to me, because it is practically my only source of income. Thank you very much for all the effort.”
“I started with Novica ten years ago, and each year has been an ever-increasing blessing. These last five years have been of great help, because we are totally dependent on these sales. On behalf of this wonderful family, I am totally grateful. Novica has provided me with many opportunities for myself and my family. I finished building the second story of my home, where I can rent to tenants, which offers me another source of income. With the income I receive, I can also give work to five more people. Due to the pandemic, I haven't been able to sell my ceramics locally and Novica is a respite from this situation. I am very grateful and proud to belong to this family.”
