My daughter-in-law absolutely loved receiving this gift! It is not only beautiful to look at, but it relates to her holistic side.

My dear friend is THRILLED with this kitty!
Sent this to a v dear friend for a Significant Birthday; shes a total cat person and an artist as well, so has a highly refined sense of both Cat and Craft. She LOVES it -- sent me pictures of the gift-wrap (regular Novica) and her own cats watching; now in a place of honor in her studio. Thanks so much, Amazingly Talented Novica Artist!
Armando Ramirez Recycled metal sculptures
"As a child I enjoyed inventing toys, and soon yearned to create a unique style of art. Environmentally enamored, I now transform recycled goods."
I've been working with you now since 2002 and I consider you as part of my own family. I had the privilege of having one of your directors explain the project to me.

Balinese Hand-Carved Wood Buddha Statuette, "Relaxing Buddha"$109.99
Ketut Seji, wife of the late Balinese artisan Ketut Taram, preserves her husband's legacy in this carving of a seated Buddha. Buddha's head rests upon his hands, and a faint smile plays across his lips. The serene sculpture is carved and finished by hand, and signed by Ketut Seji.
Guatemala Carved Cedar Maya Ballplayer Sculpture, "Jaina Island Ballplayer"$719.99
Seated, a man of importance is pensive. Nicolas Chavez Sojuel expertly carves the poignant expression of a Maya ballplayer in cedarwood. The ancient athlete wears ornate jewelry, earrings and beaded necklaces; his protective wristbands and a thick, padded girdle are worn during the ritual ballgame. The Guatemalan artisan interprets a small ceramic figurine as realistically as did the pre-Hispanic ceramists of Jaina Island more than a thousand years ago. The original polychrome sculpture can be seen in the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
Handcrafted Cedar Mayan Sculpture from Guatemala, "Devoted Midwife"$379.99
A Mayan midwife is realized in cedar atop a pinewood base. Guatemalan artist Nicolas Chavez Sojuel hand-carves this sculpture, detailing the midwife's elaborate jewelry and headdress. She sits with legs crossed, a child held close to her breast. For the artist, this sculpture presents a view of quotidian Mayan life, as the midwives would often take their children along with them as they worked.

Balinese artisan Susi Susanti creates this matrimonial pair of sculptures. A duck groom in a dapper suit stands alongside his bride, who wears a frilly white dress. Carved from natural bamboo root with acacia wood accents, this pair will make an excellent wedding gift.
