Made Sudiasa serenades nightfall with the sweet melodies of this bamboo flute. He carves it from seasoned bamboo, carefully selected to ensure sound. Decorated with classic hand-painted motifs, the blowhole is crafted with coconut shell.

Crafted by hand, this beautiful bamboo flute comes from Made Sudiasa. A latticework of jasmine surrounds the sleek instrument, each blossom painted by hand. A coconut shell mouthpiece distinguishes the flute. "Its sound is one of beauty that blows with the wind to faraway lands," the musician confides.

The sweet melody of the quena flute evokes images of tranquil Andean highlands. Quena means "many-holed object" in the Quechua language and it is said to have entranced birds to soar above the person playing it. This may be no wonder, given that early versions the quena were crafted from condor bone. Dionisio Quilla crafts this piece from diablo fuerte, or yellow wood and engraves it with the name taki, which in Quechua means "song."

The quena arrives with a colorful carrying case.

The sweet tunes of the zampoña panpipe serenade the Andes with nostalgic songs. "The use of the zampoña has become widespread across the world and it is played at different functions," explains Benito Tito. "In Peru we play the zampoña during special ceremonies and traditional rites." Tito crafts this zampoña by hand with 13 bamboo reeds of the same diameter but different length. The pipes are tied together with a woven ribbon.

Tito includes a smaller zampoña as a gift. The set includes woven cases for storing.
