Dionisio Quilla crafts a beautiful quena flute, an instrument dating to the Inca Empire. Quena means "many-holed object" in the Quechua language. It is said to have entranced birds to soar above its player, which may be no wonder given that early versions the quena were fashioned from condor bone. Quilla crafts this piece from diablo fuerte or yellow wood and paints it by hand. It includes a bright fabric carrying case.

Value that goes beyond the price tag. Peace to all the artisans who bring the natural beauty of life (unlike the radical new electronic toys that even babies are accustomed to). Thank you for bringing joy to the world.

Im sorry, but I must say that I am quite disappointed because two of the pipes arrived with large cracks in them. One of the pipes is totally unplayable. I am heartbroken! I will keep this instrument and may be able to fix the pipe that will not play (Im checking with flute makers to learn how to do this), but the whole experience was very disheartening! The bag is lovely, but the instrument is compromised.
