Cedar and mahogany sculpture, 'Parish Priest'
By BrightSun
Work is never done for the Parish Priest
John Barrow, this is exquisite work.! Oh, how I love it, and I want you to know that it will be given to our parish priest in Caro, MI for Christmas. The red cross on his vestments is brilliant, as is the hat. When I saw the colors, as in the picture, I could only say, 'Wow.' This is a beautiful sculpture, John. I am delighted beyond words to have found your sculpture of the parish priest on Novica. Great work. This sculpture is definitely of a studious priest going about his work. Nice job expressing this, John.
Ceramic sculpture, 'Peace Nativity'
By Sandra
Meaningful Nativity
I love this Nativity created by Dionisio Rojas. The painting of each character is beautifully detailed. Instead of Peace Nativity, I call mine, In the Hands of God. The pictures do not capture how truly wonderful it looks.
Wood retablo, 'Blue Andean Christmas'
By Janice
Cant wait to share with others
For past two years have hosted a Nativity Open House with depictions from many countries/cultures. I especially like the cultural reference of the hat shop below. Just as many of us learn the story of room made for the Holy Family in the animals shelter, this shows room made for the birth and adoration of Jesus where a family makes their livelihood.
