Charming elegance added to a new home.”

I purchased the Seguso vase as a wedding gift on my neicess second marriage. What to do you give the couple who already has everything? I chose a lasting reminder of their beautiful wedding day and hopefully of their of their aunt and uncle who gave them this gift. Another fun fact: my neices father (my brother) is Italian and her mother is Brazilian. She shares the same heritage as the Seguso family. What a wonderful reminder of her roots!

Preserving Traditions

Preserving Traditions

Mario Seguso, the patriarch of the Seguso Family, was born in 1929 in Venice, Italy to one of the oldest and most famous blown glass artisan families on the island of Murano. His ancestors have crafted art glass since 1300. In 1956, Mario created his own workshop in Brazil. He has passed on his knowledge to his sons, grandsons and the artisans working with him. He is proud to have many assistants and to have trained eight glass masters in his workshop.
