The rustic bunting is a beautiful brown bird is related to the American sparrow. A migratory species, it often flies as far north as Alaska in the spring and as far south as California in autumn. Mauricio Morales depicts the gentle creature in a ceramic sculpture and carefully paints it by hand before protecting the colors with a coat of wax. The realistic figurine stands on wire legs and the feet can be wrapped around a perch or branch.

“Wow! This woodpecker is amazing!”

Many thanks Mauricio. Your birds never disappoint. I was going to order this to give to a friend, but decided I needed it more. This will join other birds on top of the antique secretary. The wires in their feet make it so easy to pose them.

“Amazing”

Mauricio is a true artist. He paints these little birds to look quite life-like. Ive purchased 3: Red-tailed hawk, Chickadee, and Woodpecker. One is for a friend and the other 2--well, --theyre in my house so I see them every day. Only 1 thing--the Woodpecker is a different size than the others. Just FYI.
