Highly revered and beloved by the Mexican people, the Virgin of Guadalupe inspires Ana Maria Gonzalez to create a collection of decoupage crosses in her honor. In 1999, Pope John Paul II named Our Lady of Guadalupe patron saint of the Americas, and she is celebrated on December 12. Her well-known image miraculously appeared on the Saint Juan Diego's robe, where he was carrying Castilian roses as proof of her appearance to him. Guadalupe sent him to the Spanish bishop to convince him to a build a church in her honor. For this cross, Gonzalez selects the banner that proclaims her as Reina de Mexico y Emperatriz de las Americas, (Queen of Mexico and Empress of the Americas).

“Blessing the home”

“Two Cats on Bookmark”

I hesitated to open the package this bookmark came in because it was wrapped up so beautifully. Then I remembered one should do a review so I carefully unwrapped the package. Thank you whoever wrapped the bookmark because the wrapping was just beautifully done. The bookmark is very sturdy and is so nicely done. I am glad I ordered it because I feel I now have a colorful, pretty, and sturdy bookmark to hold my page when I am reading my book.

“A lovely piece!”

I have a collection of gorgeous, small boxes of many different kinds, materials and finishes. This beauty caught my eye immediately and is a wonderful addition to my collection. It is unique from any of the others and is so lovely on its own. I will put some of my newly acquired Novica pieces of jewelry in it as I have it in a location which is convenient for that use and perfect to keep it safe.
