Javanese artist Bunanto uses soft oil colors to depict a white swan, who acts as Hindu goddess of science Dewi Saraswati's mount. Silky blue and green waters surround the swan as it approaches a pink lily, while an orange sunset blazes in the background.

With sensuous flaring fins, a majestic blue betta blows bubbles that drift toward the water's surface far above. Sea plants undulate beneath the sea. Mahmud paints an enchanting portrait of the beautiful creature known as the Siamese fighting fish.

"The cool river water that goes through the forest flows beautifully while enlivening the ecosystem at the same time," says Javanese artist Aldi who specializes in impressionistic landscape paintings. His passion for nature is poured into this remarkable composition crafted with acrylic paints on canvas, so tranquil and serene you can almost hear the murmur of the water and feel the wind blowing through the trees.

In this whimsical and surrealist work Herlina presents a creative twist on the famous Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Balinese artist Harman adds mystic symbols to a vibrant expressionist and cubist composition made with acrylic colors. As the central element, a Balinese woman poses in a mystic depiction of femininity while little doves and flowers wander around the colorful background. "When a woman is silent, there are thousands of things on her mind, namely about mental peace and world peace," reflects the artist.

“Sailing has always been practiced by our ancestors. Every region in Indonesia has differences in how to calculate wind direction. Sailors will use the stars as a guide when they are in the middle of the sea. This artwork conveys always having the courage to sail through life,” says Javanese artist Pramono Hadi of this striking abstract piece.
