This captivating mask is hand carved from sese wood and is detailed with intricately etched aluminum plating, which is affixed to the face, headdress and stand.

The Fang people in Africa wear masks for ceremonies and celebrations that are instantly recognizable because they are elongated, heart-shaped and long-nosed.
