Ancient lore has it that the Inuit peoples believed labradorite to be the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis. It is easy to see why, with the gemstone's intriguing inner flashes of color. Neetu Barathi of India designs classic sterling silver dangle earrings that house oval cabochons of labradorite.

These were smaller than I expected, and the stones did not match. One was very vibrant and colorful, and the other dull.

Be aware that the actual dangling stones are tiny. Fine for a child, but hardly noticeable on an adult. Labradorite does catch the light, but the gems are too small to show off any changing color.
