Signed Expressionist Painting of the Ocean from Ghana, "Time Flies"

Working with black ink on paper, Ghanaian artist Ed Fralnkin Gavua creates this intriguing expressionist composition. He uses a razor to create stark outlines and thin white lines, creating the image of a roaring sea. Just below the surface, a school of fish swims peacefully. Says the artist, "See how time flies like bubbles in the heavens."
