Signed Impressionist Durbar Festival Painting from Ghana, "Durbar"

Marking the end of Ramadan, Durbar is a festival held throughout Nigeria. In this painting by Ghanaian artist Attakora Yeboah, a priest pours a traditional drink used to commemorate the festivities of Durbar. Yeboah paints in an impressionist style, where expressive strokes of the paintbrush allow colors and form to blend together.
