Sese Wood African Continent Relief Panel from Ghana, "African Mother"

Framed by the silhouette of the African continent, a mother joyfully raises her child over her head. Ghanaian artist Felix Senyor creates this relief panel, which he carves by hand from sese wood. Painted accents decorate the clothing of the mother and her child.
