Multicolored All-Wool Zapotec Area Rug (4x6.5), "Mixtec Splendor"
Alfredo Ruiz in Mexico creates rugs as his Oaxacan ancestors have done for hundreds of years--using all-natural dyes and traditional looms. This stunning wool area rug features Zapotec motifs in a colorful combination of navy, red, turquoise and lime. Hand-knotted fringe accents both ends. The dyes are obtained solely from natural materials such as pomegranate peel, lichen, cochineal and walnut bark.
