Named Ntiase, which means "understanding" in the Akan language from Ghana, this African mask is created by Wilson Aboagye. He hand-carves the mask from sese wood, given a black finish with red and green embossed aluminum accents in the shape of leaves. Embossed aluminum also decorates the cheeks, evoking traditional scarification practices.

"Perfect for Sanctuary"
The title of the item was very important to me, as well as how the piece would fit into my personal sanctuary of African and Jamaican art.
