Hibiscus Wood Statuette with Penguin Motif, "Bachelor Penguin"
Perched on a base of benalu wood, Yudi Suardi's penguin is a cheerful fellow. The Balinese artisan uses local hibiscus wood with a gorgeous natural grain to craft the statuette, carving the stylized bird by hand. Supported by a found piece of benalu wood, the penguin makes a splendid companion.

"One of my mother s favorite gifts !"
It is just the right size, and the craftsmanship is wonderful. I bought it for my mom as a Mother s Day gift. She - like a lot of sets her glasses down and the can t remember where! So she keeps it in her bathroom and uses it to keep her glasses for her while she was washed her face & dies her nightly bedtime routine. She loves it. Thank you for such a useful and beautiful piece of art.
