Two baby matsya fish face each other in this wonderful sculpture from Bali's Yudi Suardi. Hand carved in natural jempinis wood, the sculpture levitates on a base of benalu, or parasite wood. Please note the base may vary in shape and size, as the artisan uses found benalu wood pieces to create this sculpture. In the Hindu religion, the matsya (Sanskrit for "fish") was the first avatar of Vishnu.
