From Rita Addo Zakour's "Ntoboase" series, this original African mask represents "Patience," in the Akan language. The seed-like sese wood image is carved and painted by hand in shades of brown, lemon green, green, baby blue, and white. Featuring a slender nose and pouting lips, the cheeks are decorated with tribal markings.
