Ghanaian artisan Christian Kwesi Tawiah crafts this wonderful mask by hand using traditional techniques that take weeks to complete. The painted oblong face is expertly carved from local sese wood, and features a maize and emerald green colored face bordered by a crimson red pattern with chevron motifs on the sides. This the artisan's own design, which he calls Agrobeso, a word meaning "it will be a fun time" in the Akan dialect.
