George Alfred Frempong crafts an impressive sese wood walking stick with Ghanaian symbolism. A closed hand with an eye peering through is hand carved into the top. It the artisan's interpretation of an Akan proverb related to Gye Nyame that signifies the importance of faith and the belief that a single person cannot overpower God's will. Beneath the hand are three carved sections separated by jute string fringe. The top section is spiral bands of understated brown and yellow freeform dots. The middle section features stamped aluminum plates painted black in the shape of a rhombus, and the base section returns to the spiral motif. The walking stick is coated with a thin layer of clay for an aged finish.
