This elegant objet d'art is just one example ofthe artistry for which the Seguso glass-craftingfamily is known. With roots that date back to14th-century Murano, Italy, they've been based inBrazil since the 1950s when patriarch Mario fell inlove with the country and relocated there. Blackand white shapes seem to stretch and slide alongthe curves of this hand-blown glass vase.
The presence of air bubbles accentuates the nature of the traditional hand blown crafting process, making each piece unique.

This paperweight is very cute with its pointed little head. I really like it and might keep it for myself even though I ordered it for someone else.
