Gilded Hand Carved Wood Catholic Archangel Sculpture, "Archangel Raphael"

The archangel Raphael, companion of Tobias in the Bible, guided the young man in his journey to recover a loan his father made to a relative. During their travels, a large fish attacked Tobias as he crossed the river. Raphael killed the fish and removed the bladder, which Tobias later used to cure his father's blindness. Inspired by the saint and his miracles, Jose Canil Ramos carves this beautiful polychrome sculpture. "I believe the archangel Raphael helps everyone who is suffering emotionally or physically," the artisan affirms.

"Perfect for my grandkids!"
