With the privilege of experience, Ghanaian artisan Awudu Saaed creates the original design of this spectacular mask. He incorporates the artistic style of the Akan people as he carves the sese wood mask by hand with an anoma (bird) on the forehead. Saaed uses colorful glass beads to decorate the mask's face as well as embossed brass on the eyelids and around the face.
Saaed works with available brass plates to make a one of a kind version of his original design.

This mask is one of the most stunning pieces of art that I have ever had the privilege to own!!! I know I always leave positive reviews as you could see from my profile but this time I am ABSOLUTELY floored!!! I am so happy with it!!! Just a striking, original and fantastic mask. I am so in awe. "Incredible Artwork"
Not sure how I stumbled upon this mask in the first place but from the moment I saw it, something about it haunted me. Its beautiful. I could NOT stop thinking about it and finally caved, and Im so glad I did. The colors, the beadwork, and the craftsmanship are all incredible. This is my favorite piece of art we own, by far. I cant wait to collect more of Awudu Saaeds work.

"This is now a cherished Christmas heirloom"
I gave this mask to my twenty year old nephew for Christmas. The carving and beadwork are absolutely exquisite, and it is something my nephew is grateful to have and proud to display. Mr. Saaed has crossed an ocean to give my nephew a gift he will treasure forever. Thank you for your artistry!

"This is a beautiful piece."
