Buddha shows his jovial side in this cheerful sculpture by Wayan Kandiyasa. The laughing figure is cast from natural sand and ground stone. Fine details in the couch, clothing and adornments shine through an antique finish. The laughing Buddha stands for prosperity, happiness and longevity; Balinese people believe that rubbing his belly will bring good luck and fortune.

"At Peace!"
I absolutely love this very relaxed and happy Boudah. So cute. It makes me happy to look at it. The sculpting is amazing. I love the stone. I have it sitting on an artisan chest along with a tropical plant. Fabulous!
