Beautiful quality craftsmanship!

Product picture

I bought these because filigree is a favorite of mine, but usually wear silver. So received a gold chain as a gift and went to Novica to find gold earrings. I found these quickly and it was a no brainer. These are stunning and are so unique! Having bought from Novica in the past, I know the high quality of their products. Very happy and will continue to shop on Novica for one of a kind gifts and jewelry.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

Product picture

They are so beautiful. I feel lucky to have them. I bought them as an Epiphany gift for myself in celebration of the 3 kings arrival in Bethlehem. I also bought other Novica gifts for my children in celebration of this day for that is what Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus . I feel blessed to have these. Every year my children raise caterpillars to butterflies. I thank the artist so much for this beautiful creation.

Filigree Earrings

Filigree art is made by twisting or curling threads of silver or gold then soldered together to make a whole. Patterns of delicate artistry result from these techniques, once mastered by all silversmiths as part of their training. Nowadays, filigree is a specific branch of jewelry mastered by only a few. Novica has put together a unique collection of filigree earrings to reflect cultural interpretations of this unique art form.

In many parts of Asia and Indonesia, filigree patterns have been preserved throughout time. They are very similar to those developed by the Greek, and themes revolve around the regions' floral exuberance, which can be admired in their silver filigree flower earrings.

In Spain, the Moors mastered the art, and from there it was introduced to the Spanish colonies, where it flourished. Catacos in Peru is renowned worldwide for its filigree art. Gold and filigree rings, earrings, and pendant necklaces are a treasure to behold.

The filigree chandelier earrings from Oaxaca have been admired for generations. They are part of the Tehuana's costume, renowned for her extraordinary beauty and grace.
