The construction is such that it is a bit like a taut spring that opens enough to allow the hand to slide in, and then springs back to circle the arm lovingly, but not tightly. The design is clean and modern looking, almost Scandinavian in concept, yet distinctly Balinese in curvature. It is already one of my favorite pieces of jewelry and I am getting another to give to my best friend.
