Another great pendant from this artist!
Beautiful, large sugar skull pendant! That quality and detail is great. I also have the stylized jaguar from this artist. (Not a great fan of the rubber necklace, but plan to wear the pendant on a sterling chain or black leather.). Highly recommend!
This is my second Festival of the Dead coaster collection from Ana. They capture the spirit of the holiday and are a welcome addition to my home theater room where guests can enjoy them. As always, solid craftsmanship, bold colors and great designs.

Mexico's Day of the Dead festivities are unlike any other country's, but skulls are part of the national shared imagery and are a favorite subject for artisans all year. After this hand carved copal wood skull from Jesus and Roxana Hernandez of the Mexican state of Oaxaca is covered in navy blue paint with tiny sky blue dots, it is further decorated on the tops and sides with circles containing geometric figures and curving lines. Yellow, black, green, purple, and pink tones are utilized to hand paint the fanciful designs. Around the blackened eye sockets are outlines in yellow and red; the nasal cavity is delineated in purple. Two straight rows of white teeth give the skull a sober expression.

Unique Decoupage Multicolor Wood Jewelry Box, "Celebrating Day of the Dead"
Grinning skeletons share a feast and a bottle of tequila as marigolds illuminate the scene. Ana Maria González celebrates the Day of the Dead with a colorful chest for personal treasures. In Mexico, the Day of the Dead is about celebrating the life of those who have passed away, rather than mourning their deaths. People visit graves with offerings, including altars such as the one depicted on one side of the jewelry box. It features a compartment beneath the lid and a drawer.
