Highly revered and beloved by the Mexican people, the Virgin of Guadalupe inspires Ana Maria Gonzalez to create a collection of decoupage crosses in her honor. In 1999, Pope John Paul II named Our Lady of Guadalupe patron saint of the Americas, and she is celebrated on December 12. Her well-known image miraculously appeared on the Saint Juan Diego's robe, where he was carrying Castilian roses as proof of her appearance to him. Guadalupe sent him to the Spanish bishop to convince him to a build a church in her honor. For this cross, Gonzalez selects the banner that proclaims her as Reina de Mexico y Emperatriz de las Americas, (Queen of Mexico and Empress of the Americas).

Crafted by hand, this beautiful cross depicts a red rose amid floral motifs. Pedro Alba works in the style of Mexico's traditional Talavera pottery, creating an elegant ceramic cross to display on the wall.

The artisan works with Montezuma pine leaves to create this round accessory, making it perfect for multipurpose use. In addition, the piece is accented with polyester cross motifs in a brown hue, enriching the design's classic vibe.

Balinese artisan Nyoman Indrawati Subrata of the Subrata Family creates this ornate wood cross, perfect for wall display. Crafted from suar wood, the cross is engraved with a twisting grape vine, a symbol for God's steadfast love toward his people, and also a symbol of the wine used in the sacrament of communion. The artisan carries on the extraordinary art work of her late father, Nyoman Subrata.
