Batik is a fabric art in which the cloth is stretched on a wooden frame and the design sketched with a pencil. Then a mixture of melted wax is painted by hand onto areas where color is not desired. Finally, the cloth is washed and rinsed to remove any excess dye.

This is exactly what I wanted... it's been in my mind for a while, and then I saw it ... it's perfect. and it has pockets! I wanted a robe that doesn't make me feel like a schlumpadinka... and I feel fabulous in this one. I kind of hope someone knocks on my door so I can show it off :-)

Wonderful buy

I am impressed by the fine craftsmanship. The seams are expertly done with no raw edges. The weight is light but non too light. I love the fabric and the design and colors. I also liked the pants pocket design. There are no belt loops but their positioning would need to vary according to height anyway, so - I'm very pleased
