Second, he integrates the diamond patterns that distinguish his family's designs through generations. "This time I was guided by the combination of colors when I designed this black and white scarf," confides Hernández.

Displaying the grey and white hues of the universe, this lovely rayon chenille scarf is presented by K'amolon K'i K'ojonel of Guatemala. Composed of indigenous women, the artisan collective hand-weaves the scarf on the traditional telar de cintura, or backstrap loom using techniques passed down by their mothers. The complex and beautiful scarf is completed at the ends with elegant fringes.
