These amethyst earrings came in the mail today. Couldn't wait to open the sturdy little box and try them on. The picture only hints how lovely these earrings are. The design is stylish, the craftmanship flawless, the gems big and nicely faceted. Today is the 55th anniversary of the day my husband and I met, and these are part of our celebration. I wasn't sure at first, I usually don't wear green (peridot or tourmaline for example) but I loved the design of these. I have purchased jewelry in the past made by Shanker and have always been amazed at the detail, so I took a chance on these because I love the shape. They are absolutely beautiful. I've already had to take them back from one of my daughters!! :-)
