Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ in Huichol style, Miguel Diaz in Mexico creates this heavenly 14-piece nativity scene. The figurines are crafted by hand from ceramic and covered with individually-applied glass beads using beeswax, in the traditional Huichol technique. The Huichol or Wixarika are an indigenous people of central Mexico with a rich artistic tradition. Please expect slight variations in pattern and color placement.

Isabelle Collins in Mexico employs the same methods that have been employed in Puebla for hundreds of years to create this Talavera-style nativity scene. Two kinds of local clay must be cleaned, dried, kneaded and molded before being fired at high temperatures and carefully painted by hand. The three-piece set includes Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus, all beautifully decorated in traditional cobalt blue and white.
