Costa Rican artisan Milagro Cascante works with reclaimed scraps of nazareno wood to create this lovely unisex pendant necklace. A handsome cross is carved by hand to center a waxed cotton cord of adjustable length.

Working with reclaimed scraps of madre de cacao wood, Costa Rican artisan Milagro Cascante crafts this beautiful pendant necklace. The wood pendant is hand-carved to depict a cross alongside a burning flame; it centers a waxed cotton cord of adjustable length.

Hand-carved of verde manzano, or "apple green" Guatemalan jade, a striking paté cross with congruent fanning limbs forms the pendant of this necklace. Pendants like these were traditionally worn as a symbol of devotion by Christian European warriors known as Templars. Designed by Zandra Lorena Sajbin, the religious pendant centers an adjustable length of black cotton cord.

Etched in jade, this Christian cross symbolizes Christ’s triumph over death. "This cross reminds us of our origins," says Guatemalan artisan Jorge Lopez. He crafts the necklace by hand, presenting the jade pendant on an adjustable black cotton cord.
