Details

The unique forms of benalu wood, related to the mistletoe, lend themselves to the original sculptures of Yudi Suardi. Here, benalu wood evokes a coral reef, above which swims a hammerhead shark. The shark is carved by hand from jempinis wood with a natural finish.

As each piece of benalu wood is one-of-a-kind, please expect the sculpture you receive to vary somewhat from the images.

So glad to have another Balinese carving”

I visited Bali 40 years ago and a favorite memory is picking out a few hand carved statues which are still proudly displayed today. I am so glad to see the tradition continued in Bali. This is a gorgeous piece. Thank You!
