Teak relief panel, "Lamduan Star"

Eternally graceful, a lamduan flower opens its petals with delicate beauty. Surrounded by curling branches and leaves, the blossom is like a radiant star. Tay Nontawat carves this panel from two pieces of teak wood; he works with manual tools that allow him to achieve sublime detailing. After the wood has dried in the sun, he colors the panel with lacquer paints.
