Indian artisan Gulam Rasool demonstrates his expert craftsmanship with this set of three elephant figurines. Hand-carved out of soapstone, each elephant is covered with breathtakingly ornate designs that exude an air of royalty. Inside each elephant, a smaller elephant is visible behind the intricate openwork.

"Beautifully carved"
This artist and staff are masters of their craft. I gave one as a gift, but had to have one for myself. This piece reminds me of the strength of elephant families and how precious they are.

This is very nice piece of art work. although the color was bit darker shade then the picture. I wouldve liked it to be little lighter shade. But over all good item.

"A very unique gift"
I was looking for a unique gift to give to a family member when I saw this soapstone box. It was perfect. It was actually larger than I expected, and the carving was beautifully done.

"It is on my nightstand"
I love elephant theme. It looks very nice on my nightstand. I put the string of lights inside and it looks magical in the dark. I also bought the other elephant boxes from this artist

Gulam has been honored with the same distinction.
