Swirling and happy leafy vines grow in abundance in this magnificent jewelry box designed by Gulam Rasool. A floral blossom rests in the center of the leafy vine pattern on the top of the natural soapstone box. The eye-catching hexagonal box is designed with artistic jali openwork portraying the beauty of ancient India. Two hinges facilitate the opening and closing of the box.

Exquisite artwork. Impressive alabaster carving, and this is now one of my most prized treasure! Thank you Sir Rasool, nothing but my highest respect and appreciation for the wonderful jali piece! And kudos too to the Novica team, I was initially worried about if this will arrive damaged but it was packed so well, it arrived whole and undamaged.

Gulam has been honored with the same distinction. He still works alongside his son and other artisans to whom he has taught this craft, and treasures the role he plays in continuing this important Indian artistic tradition.
