Indian artisan Anil Khandelwal uses lively printed motifs resembling patchwork to create a vibrant bedspread set. Finished with a contrasting running kantha stitch all over. The bedspread features red and white shades that reverse from printed to solid navy blue. Comes with two matching pillow shams.

"Beautiful work…but coming undone!"
This is a beautiful bedspread and set of pillow shams. The colors and patchwork look are exactly what I was hoping for. But…on the pillow shams, the kantha stitching was added before the front and back were sewn together, securing the ends of the stitching. On the bedspread, since the kantha stitching involved both the top and the backing, the stitching wasn t secured and sometimes didn t reach all the way to the edge of the spread. Since no knots were tied at the end of a row, the stitching started working free the first time I washed the spread. I loved the set, so rather than return it, I had to sew a double row of my own stitches at the top and bottom of the spread to secure the kantha stitches—it would be a shame to lose all that beautiful work after just a few washes.

"So Soft!"
I always wash my cushions before using them and I cannot believe how soft these were! The pair I received is more muted gray, much lighter than what is pictured but actually I much prefer the lighter hue. Thank You Anil, the print is wonderful.
