Founded in the early 1500s, Antigua Guatemala preserves the tranquility of olden times with colonial architecture and cobblestone streets. Boni selects a palette of sepia to evoke nostalgia as he depicts a narrow lane leading toward a church. The ubiquitous bougainvillea brings the only bright contrast to this beautiful painting.
