Delivery EstimateFeaturing colorful heart motifs, a beautiful chicken and three little chicks bask under the glow of the sun, decorating this piece of ceramic wall art from Mexico. Maria Isabel Cruz creates this piece, crafted using the dry rope technique, in which a wax mixture made of magnesium oxide and fat are applied to the outlines of the image or motif prior to glazing. The wax mixture creates a barrier that keeps the different fill colors in the design separate during firing, before burning off to reveal the blackened ceramic beneath. A length of nylon cord on the back provides for easy hanging.

"Really Sweet!"
The chicken of hearts ceramic wall art is made with perfection. The only thing is that it is much darker than pictured online. The hanger is very flimsy but I can change that as the piece is heavy. It is a piece of art that makes me smile. The artisan did an exception job and I do love it. So so sweet. Highly recommend this artisan.
