Captivating colors offer a glimpse of the breathtaking Andean dawn in this rug by Cerapio Vallejo. The artist handweaves the piece in the Ayacucho weaving style, showcasing traditional motifs reminiscent of ancient Andean civilizations. Made out of wool and cotton, the colors are obtained from both natural and industrial dyes.
The piece is titled Puesta de sol in Spanish.

I have purchased several similar runners when traveling, and this one seemed perfect for my new black dining table, except it is not very wide, so, compared to my other runners, so it looks a bit skimpy. It is also quite pricey.

I just unboxed my rug and am in love. The texture (soft wool), patterns, and vibrant colors male this rug sing. I can feel the artists joy in crafting it. Photos dont do it justice. I plan to enjoy for many years to come.
