Adorable birds show their vibrant colors in an eco-friendly design crafted for those festive and creative souls. Working with recycled plastic, Costa Rican artisan Karolyn Cruz creates each little bird using traditional techniques that allow her to add a special touch to each item. After adding brass jingle bells to the pieces, the artisan joins her creation with nylon strings and galvanized wires, creating a lovely mobile.

"Beautiful bird flying to my mom for Mother s Day"
I love your work - and I look forward to seeing this bird in person next time I visit my mom. I know it will be a beautiful surprise gift for her for Mother s Day.Just one suggestion - it s listed as an Amazonian Motmo. I looked him up, and he s actually a Trinidad Motmot. His species name is Momotus bahamensis.Keep doing your beautiful art! I hope I can adopt another one of your ethereal fauna for my backyard.

"A Gem of the little bird"
I bought this to hang on my Holiday Tree -- but now will hang it in a window. The light shines beautifully through the jewel tone colors. Such a wonderful way to recycle some plastic into something to treasure.
