Details

This unique pair of earrings comes from the creative mind of designer Ali Mohammed. Hand carved from ebony wood, each earring features an Adinkra symbol within a map of Africa. The symbol is called Gye Nyame, which is an Akan word meaning "Except God", which symbolizes the immortality and omnipotence of God. Adinkra symbols are believed to have their origin an ancient kingdom that once stood where Ivory Coast is today in West Africa. The eye-catching design hangs from brass hooks.
