Hand-Painted Classic Day of the Dead Serenade Sculpture, "Serenade at the Underworld"

For this couple of Catrines, the Day of the Dead is a good occasion to profess their love. Mexico's Jorge Escamilla uses ceramic to compose this sculpture depicting a lovely skeleton couple in the middle of a very sweet serenade, whose ethereal melodies and little hand-painted details transport you to the region's classic era.
