I ordered this to wear to my son's wedding so you can imagine that I am being super picky. I received it yesterday and I'm thrilled! The colors are rich, the fabric light and soft, the craftsmanship is excellent. Thank you to the artisans who are making these scarves/shawls. I will think of you when I wear this.

"Beautiful but not the right colors for me"
This a lovely combination of colors and patterns in a very light weight silk. Unfortunately, it didnt complement the intended outfit and I returned it. The return process was easy and efficient- thank you Novica :)

Yuni uses traditional batik processes such as canting and stamping to create her unique designs. These techniques have been handed down for generations and are among the characteristics that distinguish the art of batik. The importance of this traditional Indonesian art was acknowledge with the 2009 inclusion of Indonesian Batik on the Unesco Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Microcredit Financing
Yuni Kristina has received 11 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2500 and the most recent for $5000. Proceeds were used to purchase silk, canting tools, and batik stamps.
Job Creator
Since joining Novica, Yuni has seen steady growth in her workshop. She now provides work to other batik artisans to help produce her range of scarves and shawls.
