This trendy pair of earrings comes from the creative mind of designer Ali Mohammed. Hand carved from ebony wood, each earring features an Adinkra symbol called fofoo, which is an Akan word for a yellow-flowered plant. Adinkra symbols are believed to have their origin in an ancient kingdom that once stood where Ivory Coast is today in West Africa. The unique floral symbols hang from brass hooks.
Ali financially supports the education of 2 of his own children and 2 others in primary school.
Starting off with very humble earnings, Ali has worked hard to grow his business and better the livelihood of himself and his family.
Ali currently supports 4 children who are all under the age of 10.
