Hand-carved of ebony wood, this decorative box is crowned with Gye Nyame, the most important of all the Adinkra symbols of the Akan people. Meaning "no one except God," it recognizes God's omnipotence. This versatile box from West Africa is proudly presented by Agnes Amponsah.

This is a beautiful box, well designed and well made. The ebony is wonderfully dark and gives it a very satisfying weight when you hold it. I find myself smiling whenver I look at it.
