With the head of a dragon, body of a horse, and hooves of a unicorn, the pi xiu is an auspicious mythical creature of Chinese origin that is believed to bring wealth and good fortune. Thai artisans Thatsanee and Ramphan create this pair of sculptures, which is crafted from ceramic and treated with a crackled green celadon glaze.

The color of these creatures are so lovely, light, and calming. They remind me of Foo Dogs, which I have a few in my collections. I have a few other celadon pieces from Novica. Wonderful and charming!

These critters are a great addition to my collection and are especially nice in celadon. They are substantial but delicate and arrived in perfect condition. Many thanks for the lovely work.
