Ixbalam Ke Women Weavers celebrate nature and custom with the design of this splendid shawl. It features five bands with pacaya palm leaves woven with the openwork known as Pikbil. The leaves are used for cooking as well as for decorating special events and ceremonies. The white cotton shawl is woven on a traditional back strap loom but the fringe is braided and knotted by hand.
